Visayas Island Group

Philippines has 3 main island groups Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao that covers its National Capital Region, Indepedent Cities and the 81 provinces in 17 regions. Each island group has its own customs, language and culture.

The Visayas Island Group has 16 provinces in 3 regions: Western Visayas, Central Visayas and Eastern Visayas.

The Central Visayas has 4 provinces and 3 independent cities while Western Visayas has 6 provinces and 2 highly urbanised cities.
